Privacy and Confidentiality
The Counselling and Psychological center will treat you and your concerns with absolute privacy. The therapist has a duty to maintain confidentiality.
Drop-in Consultation:
Students may call for a brief consultation to establish contact with the therapist and clarify if there is a need for further counselling or psychological aid.
Drop-in consultation takes place every Wednesday from 11:00-12:00 am. The drop-in consultation will only take place by telephone, not in person. Dr. Özbe-Schönfeld (Tel: +49 9131 85-27934) and Ms. Provan-Klotz (Tel: +49 9131 85-27935) will take turns holding the drop-in consultation. It is best to call both numbers, as there may be short-term changes (due to illness or vacation) and it is not possible to say for sure who will hold the drop-in consultation hour.
The open consultation is free of charge, possible without appointment and can be done anonymously if desired.
Telephone hours:
Wednesdays from 11:00 am-12:00 am
Consultation fee
The Studierendenwerk charges a small fee for therapy and counselling sessions (10 Euros per hour of individual session, 15 Euros per hour for couple or family sessions), which can, however, be reduced or even waived for those students who have financial difficulties.
