Welcome to the Faculty of Engineering at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU).

We are one of the five faculties at FAU and maintain a large campus in Erlangen. Our particular focuses with regard to teaching and research are in the following fields:

Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering
Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Information Technology
Computer Science
Mechanical Engineering
Materials Science

In these fields we offer 40 Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes and also one State Examination programme. We have more than 10,000 students from 65 different countries.

For over 50 years, our aspiration has been to promote knowledge, research and teaching at the highest level, making use of the latest technology. We also see it as our task to encourage interdisciplinary exchange. We are helping society towards a brighter future with outstanding degree programmes, top-class research projects and national and international exchange programmes with leading research institutes and businesses.
