As part of the MobiliKat project, funded by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology, and Space (BMFTR), a two-day workshop was held in Erlangen on June 15 and 16, 2026. Participants included the Chairs of Chemical Reaction Engineering, Chemistry of Thin Film Materials, and Micro- and Nanostructure Research at Friedrich-Alexander Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), as well as researchers from RMIT University Melbourne: Prof. Torben Daeneke, Prof. Ken Chiang, and Linh Phuong.
The workshop served as a forum for exchanging current research findings in the field of supported liquid metal catalysts, as well as other innovative catalyst concepts. In addition to scientific discussions and presentations, the event included laboratory tours and initial discussions on collaboration and the joint submission of proposals for more comprehensive research projects in the field of sustainable catalysis.
