The Chair of Fluid Mechanics at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) is delighted that Prof. Dr. Ramis Örlü, Professor at Oslo Metropolitan University, has been awarded the prestigious Friedrich-Wilhelm-Bessel Research Award by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.
The award enables him to carry out several research visits at the FAU Chair of Fluid Mechanics over the next two years – hosted by Prof. Dr. Philipp Schlatter. Their collaboration will focus on experimental investigations into turbulence.
The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation presents approximately 20 Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Awards annually to internationally renowned academics from abroad in recognition of their outstanding accomplishments in research.
