Student groups

Want to get involved while you’re in university? Then why not join a Student Council, a Student Council Initiative, or a Student Group? From “Formular Student” and robot soccer to event planning and university politics, there’s something for everyone.

Student Council

The Faculty Student Council (FSV) represents the interests of students in the Faculty of Engineering in internal faculty matters and approves the student council’s budget. The members of the FSV are elected in university-wide elections. Contact: fsv-tech@fau.de

Student Council Initiative

In nearly all degree programs within the Faculty of Engineering, students from various semesters have come together to form the Faculty Student Council Initiatives (FSI). Their members are not elected and perform their duties on a voluntary basis. Through close contact with FSIs, departments, chairs, and other university units, they can assist with issues related to academic life. They organize events such as information sessions, orientation programs for first-year students, summer festivals, and field trips.

Student Groups

University student groups are student organizations dedicated to political, cultural, social, or academic interests. They bring together students with similar interests and help them build connections. They are the perfect place for engaged students to get involved and are open to all students, including those from other faculties.
