Women’s representatives are volunteers. The tasks, obligations and rights of women’s representatives are defined in the Bavarian Higher Education Act. As well as participating in appointment committees, the Faculty Council and various other committees, implementing the target agreements concluded between the University and the Faculty of Engineering is an important area in which the women’s representatives are involved (target agreements). These are aimed at increasing the percentage of women in science. Under the target agreements, outstanding female students and young female researchers can apply for funding for conferences, research periods abroad or individual coaching.
