The Alumni Technische Fakultät Erlangen e.V. (ATE) offers the opportunity to stay in touch. It connects students, graduates, entrepreneurs, professors and employees of the chairs and other people associated with the Faculty of Engineering. The association keeps you up to date with current events at your faculty and supports you in building and maintaining a professional and private network.

Nora Gourmelon
FAU Tech Alumna Nora Gourmelon, AI Newcomer of the Year 2023, “AI for Earth”. She studied Computer Science at the Faculty of Engineering.
“My degree program gave me an introduction to the area of research in which I am now completing a doctoral degree. Through group work, I learned that working as a team is not only more enjoyable but also more efficient. A good memory I have is of sitting in the sun with friends working on exercises.”
Katja Wadlinger
FAU Tech Alumna Katja Wadlinger is Co-Founder & Head of R&D at AMPERIAL Technologies GmbH. She studied Nanotechnology & Advanced Materials and Processes at the Faculty of Engineering.

André Schwämmlein
FAU Tech Alumnus André Schwämmlein is co-founder and CEO of Flix SE. He studied Industrial Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering.

Fabian Bodensteiner
FAU Tech Alumnus Fabian Bodensteiner, Managing Director Worldcoin Europe. He studied Electrical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering.
“Looking back at my time as a student, what I remember most is the time I spent in the Formula Student team “High Octane Motorsports”, and at Fraunhofer IISB. Participating in this while studying Electrical Engineering offered a valuable combination of theory and practice. It is opportunities like this that make the University so special for me.”
