Due to the major construction projects currently underway at FAU Erlangen Campus South – particularly the Nordbayrisches Hochleistungsrechenzentrum (NHR) and the new Chemistry Building (CHEM2) – Nikolaus-Fiebiger-Straße will be closed to through and transit traffic for the entire calendar year 2026.
Impact on Bus Services
- According to current information, the bus stops for lines 20/280 at Staudtstraße and Nikolaus-Fiebiger-Straße will not be available during this time.
- A replacement stop will be provided at Erlangen Sebaldussiedlung.
- Line 20 will be rerouted via Hartmannstraße, Sebaldusstraße, and Erwin-Rommel-Straße from 16 February 2026 until approximately 13 December 2026.
- Line 280 will be rerouted via Kurt-Schumacher-Straße during the same period.

Impact on Parking Facilities
- The parking facilities at Physikum/Biologikum and Chemikum (CHEM1) will remain accessible and open during the entire construction works.
