FAU Engineering Professors Among Most Cited Researchers
The current “Highly Cited Researchers List 2025” features the most influential scientists in their respective fields worldwide. Among the five FAU researchers who made it onto the list, two come from the Faculty of Engineering:
- Prof. Dr. Robert Schober, Chair of Digital Communications
- Prof. Dr. Christoph J. Brabec, Chair of Materials Science (Materials in Electronics and Energy Technology)
Being included in the list highlights the international visibility and the significant impact of research at FAU’s Faculty of Engineering.
About the Highly Cited Researchers List:
The List of Highly Cited Researchers 2025 is based on both quantitative and qualitative analyses, aimed at pinpointing people across the globe who have had a significant and far-reaching impact on their specific research areas. Their achievements are proven on the basis of multiple highly-cited papers that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and year in the Web of Science, a portal which brings together various citation and literature databases. The list for 2025 refers to the year of publication 2024.
The list of the world’s most highly cited researchers is published by Clarivate Analytics on an annual basis. The entire list and detailed information on the analysis is available on the Web of Science website.
