AIBE receives award for “Best research environment 2024”
The Department of Artificial Intelligence in Biomedical Engineering (AIBE) at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) has the “Best research environment 2024”. The award was launched and presented for the first time this year by “Die Junge Akademie” and the Volkswagen Foundation.
The jury’s statement: “The Department of Artificial Intelligence in Biomedical Engineering (AIBE) offers an innovative research environment with a focus on socially relevant topics, interdisciplinarity and community. Flexible workspaces, a communal space and digital tools such as the coffee list promote efficiency and team spirit. Social activities, a culture of feedback, conferences and mentoring programs such as ARIADNE strengthen both individual employees and the community. AIBE supports FAU’s measures to promote gender and diversity and plans to improve the healthcare system with partners from industry and research.” Read more …
