CHE Ranking 2025: Top places for Electrical Engineering
Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) has received top scores in the latest Center for Higher Education (CHE) ranking, the most comprehensive university ranking in German-speaking countries. The subject of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology is particularly outstanding, reaching the top group 18 times, making it one of the leading subjects.
This year, a total of eleven subjects are represented in the ranking: Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering/Applied Chemistry, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, German Language and Literature, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Psychology, Romance Studies, Environmental Engineering, Process Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering. The ranking is based on indicators that are evaluated based on responses from student surveys, scientific databases and information provided by the universities.
FAU did particularly well with its “Support at the study entry phase” offers – all the subjects ranked made it into the top group in this category, based on databases and university data. The subject of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology is particularly outstanding – it reached the top group 18 times.
