Three ERC Starting Grants: Several million euros in funding for FAU researchers
Over the next five years, the European Research Council (ERC) will support the excellent research projects of PD Dr. Benoit Merle, Chair of Materials Science I (General Material Properties, WW1) as one of three FAU junior scientists with one of the ERC Starting Grants, which are endowed with at least 1.5 million Euros. Less than ten percent of the submitted projects pass the hurdle in the strict selection process. The ERC awards its grants annually to research projects with particularly high innovation potential.
