 ip is mandatory for International Master Students in various degree pr
 ogrammes at the Faculty of Engineering. Although the programmes are in
  English\, A1 level in German is required. In this workshop for studen
 ts with little German knowledge we will focus in English and German on
  finding and applying for as well as communicating with colleagues dur
 ing your internship. The workshop resumes all German levels. The knowl
 edge of cultural differences and some of Germany as well as Europe wil
 l be helpful for your advanced contact with German colleagues. We will
  work out communicating effectively with your colleagues throughout yo
 ur internship. Cultural and language skills: German A1 level in role p
 lays. Visual and textual examples. Dealing with forms. Introduce yours
 elf and formulate your research interests. Finding an internship and w
 riting an application letter in advanced German. Interaction throughou
 t the internship. Be approachable. Being friendly and approachable wil
 l make people want to talk to you. But what means friendly in Germany?
  Show an interest. How can you formulate your interest in German? Make
  yourself available. Which phrases would be helpful to show your avail
 ability. The workship provides material for learning and further studi
